Eric Trump Encourages World Liberty Financial to Invest in Bitcoin as the Cryptocurrency Nears $98K

Eric Trump’s Tweet Pushes Bitcoin to $98K, Sparking Renewed Investment Talk

Bitcoin (BTC) surged above $98,000 on Thursday during Asian market hours, following a tweet from Eric Trump, the son of U.S. President Donald Trump, urging the family-backed platform to consider investing in the cryptocurrency.

“Feels like a great time to enter BTC, @worldlibertyfi,” Eric Trump posted on X at 1:41 UTC. The tweet coincided with a price jump from $96,900 to $97,830, with CME micro futures climbing past $98,000, according to TradingView data.

Earlier in the week, David Sacks, an advisor on AI and crypto under the Trump administration, had suggested that a strategic bitcoin reserve is being evaluated. However, his remarks left some market participants disappointed, as they had expected a quicker decision on the matter.
