Ripple is bringing AI agents deeper into its corporate treasury platform, allowing businesses to monitor cash, assess financial risks, analyze forecasts and receive recommendations on potential actions. Human employees must still approve each action before it can be executed.
The new GSmart capabilities are being added to Ripple Treasury, the platform formerly known as GTreasury that Ripple acquired in October as part of its $1 billion move into corporate treasury services.
The AI agents can oversee key treasury processes, including liquidity management, forecasting and reconciliation. They can identify potential problems, recommend a response and provide the company policy supporting that recommendation. Ripple said the system does not execute actions automatically.
To reduce the risks associated with AI in financial operations, Ripple said deterministic software handles financial calculations. AI instead focuses on interpreting policies, recognizing patterns and explaining why a particular recommendation was made.
GSmart was initially launched in June 2025, before Ripple acquired GTreasury. The latest update expands its capabilities across a larger portion of the treasury workflow and introduces Knowledge Studio, which adds a policy-focused layer to the platform.
The update also includes Ask GSmart, an assistant that allows finance professionals to query corporate financial data and retrieve information through the treasury system.
Ripple said adoption of its existing tools is also growing, with 60% of eligible customers having enabled Risk Insights and 44% using Forecast Insights.
The expanded platform supports Ripple’s broader strategy following its acquisition of GTreasury. Earlier this year, CoinDesk reported that Ripple had begun integrating digital assets into its treasury software, enabling corporate finance teams to manage crypto alongside traditional cash.
With the latest expansion, Ripple Treasury can handle both traditional and digital assets while adding AI-driven analysis to a wider range of corporate financial operations.
