Strategy Resumes BTC Accumulation With $75 Million Bitcoin Buy

Strategy has restarted its bitcoin buying program after roughly three weeks on the sidelines, adding 950 BTC to its holdings last week.

The company spent $75.7 million on the purchase at an average price of $79,670 per bitcoin, according to a regulatory filing published Monday. The acquisition was financed from Strategy’s USD reserve.

Strategy also reported using $174 million in USD cash to repurchase STRC and $57.4 million from its reserve to fund dividends on preferred stock. Its USD reserve now totals $5 billion, while its USD cash balance stands at $1 billion.

The latest transaction brings Strategy’s bitcoin holdings to 846,000 BTC. Under Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, the company has invested $63.81 billion in bitcoin at an average acquisition cost of $74,417 per BTC.

MSTR shares gained 7% in premarket trading as bitcoin rose to around $84,500, up 4.5% over the previous 24 hours.
