TRX News: USDT Takes Center Stage as Justin Sun and Moscow Drive TRON Updates

TRON is seeing developments across stablecoin payments, scientific research and institutional crypto trading. USDT on TRON emerged as CoinsBee’s leading onchain payment method, Justin Sun backed a new prize worth up to $1 million for mathematical and scientific breakthroughs, and Moscow Exchange added TRX perpetual futures for qualified investors.

USDT on TRON Gains Share on CoinsBee

CoinsBee reported that USDT on the TRON network was its most-used onchain payment option during the 90-day period ending September 1, 2026. Completed TRC-20 USDT payments were approximately 1.8 times the number of Bitcoin payments and 1.9 times the number recorded for Ethereum.

TRC-20 USDT accounted for 16.23% of all payments on CoinsBee in 2026 through the reporting period, compared with 9.92% in 2025. That puts its share 64% higher than a year earlier.

The figures include successfully paid and delivered orders from June 4 through September 1. Payment frequency and transaction value showed different patterns: TRC-20 represented 44.6% of all USDT payment transactions but generated 64.5% of total USDT turnover.

The difference suggests that TRON-based USDT payments had a higher average order value than USDT transactions conducted through other networks on CoinsBee.

The platform operates across more than 180 countries, supports over 200 cryptocurrencies and lists products from more than 5,000 brands. CoinsBee says its customer base exceeds 500,000 users.

However, the figures represent activity specific to CoinsBee and do not constitute an independently audited measure of global cryptocurrency payment volumes.

For TRON, the data still highlights the role of TRC-20 as a stablecoin payment rail. Network costs and settlement characteristics are important factors when users choose between blockchain-based payment options.

CoinsBee and TRON DAO are also offering a promotional discount from September 21 to October 5, 2026. Eligible users can receive 2% off purchases paid with USDT on TRON by applying the code USDT-TRC. The offer is limited to one use per user and follows the campaign’s stated terms.

The prize broadens Sun’s philanthropic focus into scientific research, with the program intended to recognize work on difficult mathematical and scientific problems.

Moscow Exchange Adds TRX Perpetual Contracts

Moscow Exchange has introduced cash-settled perpetual futures linked to five cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP and TRX. The TRX contract trades under the symbol TRXUSDF.

The contracts reference USD-based MOEX crypto indexes, while profits and losses are settled in Russian rubles. Positions roll daily, and the contracts do not result in delivery of the underlying cryptocurrencies.

Trading is restricted to qualified investors.

The initial margin levels are 22% for BTC, 35% for ETH, 38% for SOL, 43% for XRP and 30% for TRX.

MOEX said its existing digital-asset futures market has attracted more than 72,000 qualified investors and generated cumulative turnover of over 600 billion rubles.

The exchange described the perpetual futures as an expansion of its established crypto derivatives business rather than a move toward spot-market trading. For TRX, the product adds another regulated derivatives vehicle through which qualified investors can trade exposure to the token.
