XRP Slides While Spot ETFs Attract $11 Million in Fresh Capital

U.S. spot XRP ETFs attracted $11.31 million in net inflows between October 5 and October 9, despite XRP’s decline from approximately $1.52 to $1.40 and a brief drop to $1.32. The divergence between fund demand and price performance raises questions about whether ETF investments can defend the $1.32–$1.38 support range or whether XRP needs to reclaim $1.50–$1.56 to demonstrate a recovery in its short-term trend.

Bitwise dominated the weekly results, contributing $10.55 million in net inflows. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ added $4.10 million, while Canary Capital’s XRPC experienced $3.34 million in net withdrawals. Three out of the five trading sessions recorded no net flows.

Without Bitwise’s contribution, the remaining funds generated only about $760,000 in combined net inflows. This indicates that the 12-week streak of positive flows has relied heavily on one issuer, rather than reflecting consistent demand across all XRP investment products. Upcoming reports will help determine whether participation expands or inflows remain concentrated in Bitwise.

XRP ETFs held approximately $1.57 billion in net assets, compared with about $1.8 billion in cumulative net inflows since their launch. The difference of roughly $230 million offers a broad indication of the gap between historical inflows and current asset values, although it should not be interpreted as an exact measure of investor losses.

The weekly performance also distinguished XRP funds from other cryptocurrency investment products. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs registered $681 million in net outflows during the same period, while XRP was the only category among the cited Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and XRP funds to finish the week with positive net flows. Despite this relative strength, the figures do not establish that ETF demand can absorb continued selling pressure in the spot market.

XRP Price Tests the $1.32–$1.38 Support Zone

XRP began the week near $1.52 and ended Friday around $1.40, after reaching a temporary low of $1.32 on October 8. The movement represented a weekly decline of approximately 7.3% based on the opening and closing prices, reversing a considerable portion of the token’s earlier gains.

The $1.32–$1.38 range is now a crucial area for buyers to defend. If XRP holds above this zone while ETF inflows continue, it could suggest that investors are purchasing tokens during market weakness. However, a brief rebound would not establish a reliable price floor. A decisive move below support would indicate that fund demand has failed to prevent further technical deterioration.

On the upside, the $1.50–$1.56 range remains the main resistance area. A sustained recovery above this band would provide stronger evidence of improving momentum than a short-lived intraday rally. Until XRP reclaims these levels, positive ETF flows remain a supportive factor rather than definitive evidence of a trend reversal.

Evernorth Introduces Another Route to XRP Exposure

Evernorth’s XRPN started trading on Nasdaq on October 12, adding another listed investment vehicle for investors seeking exposure to XRP. The vehicle reportedly holds approximately 473 million XRP, although its direct effect on spot-market demand and price movements has not yet been established.

XRP’s near-term outlook will depend partly on whether the token maintains its support range and whether ETF demand spreads across a wider group of issuers. Broader and more consistent inflows would strengthen the case for accumulation during price declines. Conversely, a support breakdown or further concentration of inflows in a single fund would weaken the argument that institutional demand is establishing a dependable price floor.

A sustained move above $1.50–$1.56 remains the clearest technical indication of potential short-term recovery. Evernorth’s sizable XRP holdings could become an additional demand factor, but their actual impact on the market remains uncertain.
