Binance plans to shut down Binance Pool and its connected services at 07:00 UTC on November 10, 2026, officially ending Bitcoin mining operations through the platform.
The exchange has instructed miners to transfer their operations to alternative pools before the deadline. Its notice makes clear that any hashrate submissions or mining shares received after the cutoff will not be accepted, processed, or credited.
Meanwhile, BNB, the token linked to Binance and the BNB Smart Chain ecosystem, was trading at approximately $740, down around 0.5% over the previous 24 hours. Daily trading volume stood at roughly $561 million.
Binance Mining Shutdown: Important Deadlines for Users
The closure will affect Binance Pool, Cloud Mining, Pool Savings, and Transaction Accelerator, along with supporting services such as Stratum connections, mining-pool APIs, and email and Telegram notifications.
Users need to redirect their mining equipment to another pool and close their Pool Savings accounts before the shutdown. Any eligible outstanding rewards or refunds will be handled under the applicable product terms and compliance procedures.
Mining transaction records will remain available until 07:00 UTC on November 24, 2026, allowing users two additional weeks after the shutdown to review their historical activity.
Binance has not specified when automatic payouts will occur or provided a detailed explanation of the final settlement process. Miners should consult the relevant product terms and official communications to understand how outstanding balances will be handled.
The exchange announced the closure through its social media channels, describing it as part of a wider review of its products. However, Binance has not disclosed the financial or operational considerations behind the decision.
Although the deadline and affected services have been identified, the underlying reason for discontinuing the mining platform remains unclear.
Binance Expands AI and Traditional Finance Offerings
Binance Pool launched in April 2020 and offered Bitcoin miners a Full Pay-Per-Share payment model. Its closure will bring the exchange’s mining service operations to an end after approximately six years.
At the same time, Binance is pursuing opportunities in artificial intelligence and traditional financial markets. However, the available information does not establish a direct link between these initiatives and the mining shutdown.
On October 12, Binance released a free AI-powered market assistant after a beta-testing program involving around 150,000 users. The assistant provides market insights and guidance rather than placing trades autonomously.
The exchange has also expanded its U.S. equity offerings through Nest Trading and announced plans to introduce physically settled options covering more than 1,000 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
According to The Block, Binance’s traditional-finance perpetual-futures volume rose from $29.5 billion in January to $433.4 billion in August. The increase highlights the growing importance of traditional market products within Binance’s business, but it does not explain why the exchange decided to discontinue its mining services.
BNB Price: Support and Resistance Levels to Monitor
In related market activity, BNB was trading at approximately $740.27 on October 14, according to the figures cited in the report. CoinGecko data showed a 0.5% increase over 24 hours, although the token remained down 4.4% over the preceding seven days.
BNB’s market capitalization was approximately $98.57 billion, while its daily trading volume reached around $555.82 million. The token remained well below its all-time high of $1,369.99 amid recent selling pressure.
The $736–$718 range could provide near-term support. On the upside, resistance around $746 and $775 may challenge any recovery attempt.
A sustained break above these resistance levels could strengthen bullish momentum. Conversely, a drop below the support zone could increase the likelihood of further losses.
BNB’s outlook will also depend on broader cryptocurrency market sentiment and activity across the BNB Chain ecosystem. Greater adoption of applications and services on the network could help support demand for the token.
For now, relatively subdued trading volume suggests that stronger buying activity may be needed to establish a clearer recovery. Bitcoin’s next move will also be important in shaping the direction of the wider crypto market.
