DriveWealth plans to integrate Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin settlement infrastructure, built on the XRP Ledger, into its brokerage platform. The rollout is expected to begin in Europe, with the United States potentially following later. The companies announced the partnership on October 15, 2026.
DriveWealth supplies brokerage technology to fintech companies, digital wallet providers and financial institutions seeking to offer customers access to U.S. markets. Its infrastructure supports more than 100 partners worldwide, giving the RLUSD initiative a potential distribution network spanning multiple financial services providers.
However, the size of DriveWealth’s network does not confirm that RLUSD will be adopted broadly. The companies have not disclosed which partners will participate, whether any services are already operational or whether the integration will eventually reach all of DriveWealth’s partners.
The partnership is intended to make it easier for international clients to move money into brokerage accounts. Traditional bank transfers can be subject to processing delays and cutoff times, preventing funds from becoming available when markets are open. Using stablecoins that can be converted into cash in near real time could help reduce these delays and dependence on conventional banking transfers.
RLUSD to Support Brokerage Settlement and Cross-Border Payments
The planned settlement service will use RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, supported by Ripple’s stablecoin minting and burning infrastructure. DriveWealth says clients will be able to fund accounts and manage collateral with stablecoins that can be converted into cash in near real time, offering an alternative to waiting for bank wires to settle.
The collaboration also incorporates Ripple Payments to facilitate cross-border payment acceptance from DriveWealth’s international partners. The goal is to simplify incoming transfers and improve the movement of funds across different markets.
Digital-asset custody is another part of the agreement. DriveWealth and Ripple are developing custody services for the European market, with expansion into other jurisdictions planned for the future. The companies intend to move treasury and custody operations onto Ripple’s infrastructure, allowing clients to monitor dollar balances, stablecoins and crypto holdings in real time and transfer value between them.
Equity financing remains at an earlier stage. DriveWealth and Ripple Prime are exploring potential opportunities through Ripple Prime’s Delta One business, but no specific service has been confirmed. This work remains exploratory, unlike the announced settlement and payments integrations.
Europe to Get the First RLUSD Settlement Rollout
The companies plan to introduce settlement services in Europe before pursuing a potential U.S. launch. Custody services will also begin in Europe, with other markets potentially added later. Ripple says it has a regulatory presence spanning more than 85 licenses.
DriveWealth CEO Naureen Hassan said the company wants funding infrastructure to keep pace with its extended trading availability.
“We’ve already enabled 24/5 trading; now we need the funding to match, so clients can move with the markets instead of waiting for them,” Hassan said.
Neither company has announced a launch date, projected transaction volumes or a confirmed list of partners that will use the new services. Details about the initial deployment and the expected scale of adoption remain unclear.
The partnership was scheduled to be discussed during a Ripple Swell fireside chat in New York City on Wednesday, October 28.
For RLUSD and the XRP Ledger, the agreement could expand stablecoin use in brokerage operations, international payments and institutional custody. Its actual significance will depend on when the services go live, how many partners adopt them and whether they generate meaningful transaction activity.
