Saylor’s MicroStrategy Acquires 22,000 BTC Worth $1.92 Billion

Strategy Adds Another $1.92B in Bitcoin, Total Holdings Now Over 528K BTC

MicroStrategy (MSTR) has once again expanded its Bitcoin (BTC) reserves, acquiring 22,048 BTC for $1.92 billion at an average price of $86,969 per coin, according to a Monday regulatory filing.

This latest purchase brings Strategy’s total holdings to 528,185 BTC, accumulated at a total cost of $35.63 billion, averaging $67,458 per BTC. At Bitcoin’s current price of around $82,000, the company’s BTC stash is now valued at more than $43 billion.

The acquisition was primarily funded through the issuance of common stock, which raised $1.2 billion in the week ending March 30. Strategy also tapped into its STRK preferred share ATM, securing $18.52 million, and completed a $711.2 million raise through its STRF preferred share offering.

Despite the massive BTC accumulation, MSTR shares slipped 4% in premarket trading, following Bitcoin’s own 3% decline since Friday’s close.
