A dormant Bitcoin wallet linked to SpaceX has suddenly sprung to life, transferring 1,308 BTC — worth approximately $153 million — in its first on-chain activity in over three years, according to data from blockchain analytics platform Arkham.
The transaction originated from address 15oKQ7…i7Jf1G, which Arkham has tagged as belonging to Elon Musk’s aerospace firm. The BTC was sent to an unlabeled and previously inactive address, bc1q8k…phartf, with no further movement observed so far.
This marks the first outbound transaction from the wallet since June 10, 2022, when it moved 3,505 BTC (then valued at $102 million) to Coinbase.
Despite the transfer, Arkham data shows SpaceX still holds 6,977 BTC, currently valued at roughly $815 million — placing the company among the largest corporate holders of bitcoin, alongside MicroStrategy (MSTR) and Tesla (TSLA), another firm helmed by Musk.
The purpose of the latest transfer remains unknown. It could represent a potential sale, an internal treasury shuffle, or another strategic maneuver. So far, the receiving address has not moved the funds.
