Ethereum ETFs Attract $8.7B in Inflows Over First Year, Including $5B Surge in Last Two Weeks

BlackRock’s Spot Ethereum ETF Hits $10B as ETH Funds Log 15 Days of Inflows

BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) has surpassed $10 billion in assets under management, marking a major milestone for the newly launched U.S. spot Ethereum ETF landscape. The achievement comes as the broader group of ETH ETFs posted 15 consecutive days of net inflows, reflecting rising investor interest and renewed market optimism.

Since their launch on July 23, 2024, the first cohort of U.S.-listed spot Ethereum ETFs has attracted nearly $8.7 billion in net inflows, despite persistent outflows from Grayscale’s Ethereum Trust (ETHE). The momentum has accelerated sharply in recent weeks, with more than $4.6 billion flowing into ETH-focused ETFs over the past 14 days alone.

The inflows have coincided with a strong rally in ether (ETH), which climbed 26% during the week of July 14, following a 16% gain the previous week. ETH is now trading at $3,704, up 11% year-to-date, outpacing many other major crypto assets.

ETHA’s rapid ascent places it as the third-fastest ETF in history to reach the $10 billion mark, according to Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas. Only BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) achieved that milestone more quickly.

The Ethereum ETFs entered the market shortly after the high-profile debut of U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, which drew billions in investor capital and reignited Wall Street’s interest in crypto investment products. Alongside BlackRock, the Ethereum ETF lineup includes offerings from Fidelity, VanEck, Franklin Templeton, and others.

The recent streak of inflows is being attributed to growing institutional appetite for ETH exposure and a shift in sentiment as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission signals greater willingness to work with lawmakers on crypto regulation. That regulatory clarity has boosted confidence among traders and appears to be driving renewed capital rotation into digital assets.
