DOT Surges Up to 4% Amid Strong Bullish Breakout

Polkadot Climbs on Institutional Buying, Hits $3.80 Before Facing Resistance

Polkadot’s DOT token rallied as much as 4% in the past 24 hours, driven by a surge in institutional activity and broad market momentum. The price climbed from $3.65 to $3.80, with volume tripling the daily average, according to CoinDesk Research’s technical analysis model.

The strongest push occurred between 10:00 and 11:00 GMT, when DOT rose from $3.68 to $3.79, coinciding with a spike in volume to 5.29 million tokens—nearly three times the daily average of 1.83 million. Analysts noted strong accumulation at the $3.68 support level.

However, resistance near $3.80 triggered profit-taking as volumes remained elevated, capping further gains in the short term.

Despite the upward move, Polkadot’s staking participation declined over the past week, with the staking rate slipping to 49.17%.

DOT’s rally aligned with broader market strength, as the CoinDesk 20 index gained 3.7% during the same period. As of the latest trading session, DOT was up 3% over 24 hours, hovering around $3.76.

Technical Overview

  • Support: Strong buying interest confirmed at $3.68, supported by high-volume inflows.
  • Resistance: Sellers re-emerged at $3.80, causing a short-term reversal.
  • Trend Structure: Higher lows and elevated volumes suggest bullish momentum remains intact.
  • Market Sentiment: Institutional interest is driving demand, although profit-taking may slow further upside near resistance levels.

Polkadot continues to show strength within a rebounding crypto market, but follow-through above $3.80 will likely require another volume-driven breakout.
