Metaplanet Shares Rise After Investors Approve Key Amendments
Metaplanet Inc (3350) saw its shares climb over 2.5% to 853 yen on Tuesday following investor approval of significant proposals at an extraordinary general meeting on September 1. Shareholders endorsed three resolutions designed to enhance the company’s financial flexibility and corporate governance framework.
The first measure raises the company’s maximum authorized shares to 2.7 billion, facilitating future capital-raising initiatives. The second amendment allows for virtual-only shareholder meetings, reflecting evolving corporate governance practices.
The third resolution introduces provisions for authorized class shares, formally establishing both Class A and Class B share categories.
