Coinbase Teams Up With Perplexity AI to Deliver Live Crypto Market Insights to Traders

Coinbase Partners With Perplexity AI to Deliver Real-Time Crypto Insights to Traders

Coinbase (COIN) has entered a partnership with AI search startup Perplexity AI to provide traders with seamless access to real-time, reliable cryptocurrency market data, the companies announced Wednesday.

The collaboration, unveiled by Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong on X, aims to empower users to make quicker, more informed trading decisions by integrating Coinbase’s market data directly into Perplexity’s AI-powered tools.

The initiative launches today with what Armstrong described as “Phase 1.” In this initial rollout, Coinbase’s data will be integrated into Perplexity’s Comet browser, a real-time search platform. Users will be able to analyze market trends, track price movements, and explore token fundamentals through a dynamic AI interface.

“Crypto is going mainstream,” Armstrong shared on X, highlighting that, according to Perplexity, searches for cryptocurrency topics now rival those for traditional equities.

The next phase will integrate Coinbase’s data into Perplexity’s conversational AI, enabling users to research new trading ideas, monitor token performance, and explore on-chain analytics using natural-language queries.

Armstrong suggested this collaboration signals a broader technological convergence. “I expect enhanced crypto functionality will be a catalyst for AI to achieve another 10x unlock,” he posted. “Personally, I’m most excited to see crypto wallets fully integrated into LLMs one day. That will be a huge step toward a permissionless, digital economy.”

The partnership underscores the growing intersection between artificial intelligence and crypto — two sectors widely seen as transformative but still exploring practical ways to merge their technologies.

At the time of publication, COIN shares were down around 1%, trading at $370.60.
