Coinbase CEO Armstrong Joins $1M Bitcoin Forecast Chorus as Bullish Momentum Builds
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has joined the growing list of crypto leaders forecasting a meteoric rise for bitcoin, predicting the asset could hit $1 million by 2030.
“I think we’ll see $1 million per bitcoin by 2030,” Armstrong said in a post on X while promoting his recent interview on the Cheeky Pint podcast. The rare price prediction underscores Armstrong’s long-term confidence in bitcoin’s trajectory.
Armstrong’s outlook aligns with views shared by other prominent figures. Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has also stated he expects bitcoin to reach $1 million by the end of the decade — and potentially exceed that level. Meanwhile, Ark Invest CEO Cathie Wood recently raised her firm’s long-term projection to as high as $3.8 million per BTC, citing accelerating institutional adoption as a key driver.
The bullish sentiment comes amid strong price action. Bitcoin is trading above $114,000, up 22% year-to-date, following a recent surge to a new all-time high above $124,000. The rally has bolstered bitcoin’s standing as a macro hedge and alternative to traditional safe havens like gold.
Some see the timeline accelerating. SkyBridge Capital’s Anthony Scaramucci told CNBC on Aug. 19 that bitcoin could hit $180,000–$200,000 within the next five months, noting that even this may prove to be a conservative estimate.
