Eric Trump to Speak at BTC Asia as Hong Kong Embraces Crypto-Friendly Policies
Eric Trump is set to continue his crypto conference appearances with a keynote at BTC Asia in Hong Kong this August, following his previous speech at CoinDesk’s Consensus conference in Toronto earlier this year.
Hong Kong has been actively advancing pro-crypto legislation through its Legislative Council (LegCo), even introducing stablecoin rules ahead of the U.S., which only recently enacted its GENIUS Act.
During his appearance at Consensus Toronto, Trump praised bitcoin for its liquidity, calling it superior to real estate and referring to the cryptocurrency as “digital gold.” He also voiced support for the crypto industry, suggesting the same groups that scrutinized the sector under President Biden’s administration had similarly targeted his father, former President Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr. remains a frequent presence on the crypto conference circuit and is scheduled to speak at Korea Blockchain Week this September.
BTC Asia is slated to take place in Hong Kong from August 28–29. CoinDesk’s Consensus conference will also return to the city in February next year.
