Floki Unveils Fee-Free Crypto Debit Card, Bolstering Token Fundamentals.

Floki (FLOKI), the memecoin project, unveiled a zero-fee debit card on Monday, initially launching in 31 European countries, with plans to extend to other regions in the future. This debit card allows users to spend a range of cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), tether (USDT), BNB Chain’s BNB, and FLOKI, at merchants worldwide that accept VISA or Mastercard. It comes with no transaction or exchange rate fees and is compatible with more than eight blockchain networks.

The physical card is priced at $33, while the virtual card is available for just over $10. There is a 2% top-up fee when transferring tokens to the associated spending account.

Floki’s lead developer, “B,” shared with CoinDesk via Telegram that the card enables FLOKI holders to easily spend their tokens with millions of global merchants without the usual challenges of converting crypto to fiat. Additionally, a VIP card will be launched soon, offering higher spending limits, allowing users up to $50,000 per day and $250,000 per month.

The cards will not be available in regions under U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions or in areas where banks have imposed restrictions.

The debit card is available for residents in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
