Ripple Partners with Portugal to Boost XRP’s Role in the Country’s Growing Crypto Ecosystem.

Ripple has expanded its global footprint with a new partnership with Unicâmbio, a prominent Portuguese currency exchange, to facilitate real-time cross-border payments between Portugal and Brazil. This marks Ripple’s inaugural entry into the Portuguese market, further expanding its digital payment solutions to enhance transaction speed and reduce costs.

Unicâmbio’s business clients will now be able to transfer funds and settle payments instantly via Ripple’s cutting-edge payment technology. Cassie Craddock, Ripple’s Managing Director for the UK and Europe, expressed enthusiasm about Portugal’s growing crypto landscape and the potential for Ripple’s services to support businesses in the region.

“Connecting our payment networks in Portugal and Brazil not only boosts cross-border efficiency but also strengthens economic ties between these vital markets,” Craddock explained.

Ripple’s payments platform leverages the XRP Ledger, enabling seamless transfers of both traditional currencies and crypto assets across a network of financial institutions, all powered by the XRP token.
