SharpLink commits $170M in ETH to staking on Linea.

SharpLink Stakes $170M ETH Into Yield Strategy on Linea Network

SharpLink Gaming (SBET) has deployed $170 million in Ethereum (ETH $3,089.74) into a multi-year yield strategy on ConsenSys’ Linea network, moving from planning into execution for a program first outlined late last year.

The strategy layers native Ethereum staking rewards with restaking via EigenCloud, along with additional incentives from Linea and ether.fi, all under a qualified custodian through Anchorage Digital, SharpLink said in a post on X Thursday.

The deployment follows SharpLink’s October disclosure that it planned to allocate up to $200 million of ETH to Linea over several years. The firm framed the approach as an institutional-grade version of a strategy popular in crypto-native markets: stacking multiple yield streams on ETH while maintaining tight operational controls.

Linea, a zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) backed by ConsenSys, offers faster, lower-cost transactions by batching them for verification on Ethereum mainnet. SharpLink said the combination creates an “enhanced yield” profile, boosting ETH productivity without fully entering decentralized finance custody models.

The move reflects a wider trend among publicly traded crypto firms toward yield- and infrastructure-focused strategies over pure token exposure. SharpLink shares recently drew attention after Bernstein initiated coverage with an outperform rating, highlighting the firm as an institutional gateway to Ethereum.
