Strategy Purchases $555.8M in Bitcoin, Boosting Holdings to 538,200 BTC

Strategy (MSTR) has acquired an additional 6,556 bitcoin (BTC) for a total of $555.8 million, according to a regulatory filing released on Monday. The purchase was funded through proceeds from the company’s two at-the-market (ATM) stock offerings.

As the largest corporate holder of bitcoin, Strategy raised $547.7 million by selling 1.76 million shares of its Class A common stock, in addition to $7.8 million from the sale of over 91,000 preferred stock shares (STRK) between April 14 and April 20.

This latest acquisition brings Strategy’s total bitcoin holdings to 538,200 BTC, purchased at an average price of $67,766 per coin. The company, headed by Michael Saylor, has now invested a total of $36.47 billion in bitcoin. Shares of MSTR saw a 2.77% increase in pre-market trading as bitcoin rose to $87,300.
