Sui Surges Almost 4% Following Google Pick as Launch Partner for AI Payments System

Sui Gains Momentum Following Google’s AP2 Integration – 16/9/2025

Sui (SUI) outpaced the broader crypto market after being chosen as a launch partner for Google’s Agentic Payments Protocol (AP2), a new standard designed to let AI agents handle financial transactions on behalf of users.

The token rose nearly 4% in the last 24 hours, climbing from $3.509 to $3.622, compared with a 1% gain for the CoinDesk 20 index. SUI is currently trading around $3.63.

The AP2 announcement added fuel to a token already showing bullish strength. Trading volume surged to 33.14 million, nearly four times the 24-hour average of 8.73 million. Higher intraday lows and steady bids above $3.50 suggest potential institutional interest.

During intraday trading, SUI briefly reached $3.65 before dipping to $3.57, settling near $3.60. Buyers later pushed the price back into the $3.61–$3.65 range, although lower volume indicated some profit-taking.

With the Google partnership in place, bulls may now set their sights on the next resistance range between $3.70 and $3.75.
