Toncoin Surges Higher After Telegram Rolls Out TON Wallet to 87 Million U.S. Users

Toncoin Rallies as Telegram Launches In-App TON Wallet for 87M U.S. Users

Toncoin (TON) surged 3% to $3.41 on Monday following the U.S. rollout of Telegram’s integrated self-custodial wallet, a major milestone that enables seamless crypto payments and staking directly within the popular messaging app.

Developed by The Open Platform (TOP) and built on the TON blockchain, the new TON Wallet allows Telegram’s 87 million American users to send and receive digital assets—including stablecoins—without needing to install separate apps, browser extensions, or manage seed phrases.

According to CNBC, this marks the first time a self-custodial crypto wallet has been embedded in a major U.S.-facing messaging platform.

TOP CEO Andrew Rogozov told CNBC the decision to launch in the U.S. comes amid improving regulatory conditions and the growing overlap between Telegram’s user base and crypto adoption. “We started viewing the U.S. as a much more interesting opportunity,” he said.

To ease onboarding, the wallet uses a two-part key recovery system: one tied to the user’s Telegram account and the other to their email—eliminating the need for traditional seed phrases and reducing friction for newcomers.

Beyond basic transfers, the wallet supports token swaps, staking, in-app purchases via MoonPay, debit card on- and off-ramps, and integration with Telegram’s Mini Apps platform for a full Web3 experience inside the app.

At the time of writing, TON was trading at $3.4121, having risen 3% in the last 24 hours. The token is up 12.2% over the past week and has climbed 25.6% in the past month, fueled by increased usage, broader platform integration, and rising investor optimism.

Technical Snapshot:

  • Between July 21 at 18:00 UTC and July 22 at 17:00 UTC, TON rose from $3.25 to $3.58, marking a 10.15% intraday rally backed by 46.32 million tokens traded.
  • The breakout above $3.34 resistance expanded its trading range by 11.84%, indicating strong bullish momentum.
  • However, a late-session dip from $3.53 to $3.44 in the final hour shows signs of short-term exhaustion, with lower highs forming amid declining volume.
