CNN to Integrate Kalshi Prediction Markets Into Its News Coverage

CNN has entered into a data partnership with prediction market operator Kalshi, introducing market-implied probabilities into its newsroom and adding a Kalshi-powered ticker for segments built around event forecasting.

Announced Tuesday (U.S. time), the agreement gives CNN real-time access to Kalshi’s probability data across political, economic, and cultural events, reflecting a growing media appetite for market-based forecasting tools. The integration will incorporate Kalshi’s event contracts directly into CNN programming and daily editorial workflows, with the network planning to feature live, on-air tickers displaying shifting market odds during segments that rely on this data.

The rollout will be overseen by Harry Enten, CNN’s chief data analyst, known for his polling and probability-focused reporting. Kalshi said Enten will use the platform’s market-driven probabilities as an additional analytical layer to help evaluate the likelihood of major political and cultural outcomes.

Beyond on-air use, the partnership gives CNN’s editorial, data, and production teams full access to Kalshi’s real-time feeds to support graphics creation, enrich reporting, and shape storylines tied to changes in market expectations across key U.S. news cycles.

The collaboration follows Kalshi’s recent $1 billion funding round, which valued the event-contract marketplace at $11 billion.
