Election Betting Platform Kalshi Unveils Midterm Hubs Ahead of U.S. Elections

Kalshi has unveiled its new U.S. “Midterms Hub” as the prediction market platform aims to become a leading source for election odds and forecasting data ahead of the upcoming November midterm elections.

The newly launched hub allows users to follow expected results for individual U.S. Senate and House of Representatives races as the country approaches the election season, according to a statement released by Kalshi on Wednesday.

The company said the Midterms Hub offers a continuously updated view of where traders are placing their positions and how market expectations are evolving. Kalshi described it as a central destination for tracking state and federal election forecasts and assessing the current status of various races.

The platform’s election projections are based on the latest market probabilities across Kalshi’s contracts and are displayed through an interactive map covering races nationwide.

Alongside prediction market data, the hub will provide polling averages so users can compare market-based forecasts with traditional voter surveys. It will also include candidate fundraising information from the Federal Election Commission, plus curated news and analysis from multiple media sources.

The rollout comes as Kalshi continues efforts to expand its financial products, with reports suggesting the company is seeking authorization from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to offer perpetual contracts outside the cryptocurrency market.

According to Bloomberg, Kalshi is looking to introduce perpetual-style derivatives linked to commodities such as gold, silver, and platinum.

The Midterms Hub is the latest initiative from Kalshi to strengthen its presence in political markets before the November elections. Earlier this year, the company introduced the “American Power Index,” which it compared to the S&P 500 for politics, designed to measure the relative momentum of U.S. political parties.

Kalshi recorded $31 billion in total notional trading volume in June, marking a more than 70% jump from May. Sports-related contracts represented around 85% of total activity, with World Cup-related markets contributing $22.42 billion in volume, according to the company.

The launch follows reports that Kalshi is attempting to secure additional funding at a valuation of approximately $40 billion, almost twice the $22 billion valuation targeted during its previous fundraising effort.
