XRP Tumbles 10% Amid Renewed Weakness Across Crypto Markets

XRP slipped to around $1.28 after falling 9% in a single day, marking its largest daily percentage decline since Feb. 5. The token had been trading between $1.40 and $1.45 during the prior 24 hours before the sell-off intensified.

The drop reduced XRP’s reported market capitalization to roughly $80 billion, giving it a 3.34% share of the overall cryptocurrency market. XRP’s previous market-cap peak was $210 billion. At its current level, the token remains about 65% below its all-time high of $3.65, reached on July 18 last year.

XRP’s decline came alongside losses among other major cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin was trading near $75,500 after dropping 2%, while Ethereum declined 4% and moved below $2,400. The broader weakness provides context for the size and timing of XRP’s move.

$1.28-$1.30 Becomes a Key XRP Price Area

XRP was last trading near $1.28, with the token down 0.7% over the latest 24 hours. The decline is more pronounced across longer periods: XRP has fallen 8.2% over the past seven days and 10.4% over the past month.

Trading activity has remained substantial, with 24-hour volume reaching approximately $80.46 billion. The supplied figures put XRP’s market capitalization at around $5.88 billion, while recent price action shows a series of volatile moves and failed attempts to recover.

The latest slide has placed XRP near the $1.28-$1.30 area, making that range an immediate focus for traders. The market is now watching whether buyers can absorb the selling around these levels or whether another wave of pressure takes the token lower.

Recent chart action shows XRP briefly recovering after an earlier decline before sellers returned. The renewed selling erased much of that rebound and pushed the token back toward $1.28.

With XRP down 10.4% over the past month and trading volume still elevated, attention remains on whether buyers can absorb the available supply and establish a period of price stability.
