Decentralized AI Platform Recall Sets Date for Token Generation Event

Decentralized AI skill marketplace Recall Network revealed plans to launch its native token, RECALL, on October 15, giving early supporters a chance to participate via airdrops.

The ERC-20 token will be deployed on Coinbase’s Layer 2 network, Base, with cross-chain bridging capabilities, according to a press release shared exclusively with CoinDesk.

The launch is backed by a coalition of AI-focused partners, including Eliza, Sapien, Gaia, Cookie, Olas, Morpheus, Intuition, Protocol Labs, and Lit, all aiming to accelerate the growth of open, decentralized AI ecosystems.

Token Utility

RECALL tokens will allow holders to fund, rank, and reward AI tools and agents tailored to specific use cases. Developers producing top-performing AI models, as well as participants who help curate the best solutions, will earn RECALL rewards.

Token holders will also be empowered to vote on protocol upgrades and treasury allocations, ensuring that the most effective AI solutions rise to the top of the platform’s leaderboards.

“Skill markets accelerate quality AI development by giving people the ability to crowdfund the tools they need and reward the best submissions,” said Andrew Hill, CEO of Recall Labs. “Whether it’s crypto trading bots or Python coding tools, users now have a voice in what AI gets built—and the incentives to ensure only the best AI is recognized.”

Recall, formed through the merger of Textile and Ceramic developer 3Box Labs, operates as a decentralized skill marketplace where AI models compete, showcase their expertise, and are evaluated transparently on-chain. Its public testnet launched in March 2025.

Tokenomics

At launch, 200 million RECALL tokens—20% of the total 1 billion supply—will be made available.

  • 30% of the total supply is allocated for community growth, funding rewards, platform development, grants, and strategic partnerships.
  • 27% of tokens will unlock after the first year, with the remaining 73% released gradually over the following 48 months.

“We’re proud to reward early supporters and launch with world-class partners who share our vision of aligning human and AI incentives,” said Michael Sena, CMO of Recall Labs.

Mainnet and Use Cases

When the mainnet goes live, Recall will feature markets focused on crypto trading AI agents, enabling users to monetize their expertise on agent performance. Participants can stake RECALL tokens through the platform’s app at app.recall.network. Additional markets covering a wide range of AI skills will roll out soon after.

Roadmap for Expansion

Recall initially focused on crypto trading, leveraging its high-volume and data-rich environment to scale quickly. The platform now boasts:

  • 1.4 million users
  • 11 distinct markets
  • 155,000 AI solutions
  • Over 9.5 million curation signals

Building on this foundation, Recall aims to expand into other crypto markets and eventually become a fully open marketplace, where any AI skill can be developed, funded, and curated by the community.
