Ripple’s approval confirms full compliance with MiCA, enabling it to deliver crypto services to institutions and businesses across all EEA countries. The company announced Monday that Luxembourg elevated its initial CASP authorization to a full license under EU regulations, allowing operations across the region.

Cassie Craddock noted that the approval positions Ripple to grow and operate confidently in the post-transition MiCA landscape.

This license makes Ripple one of only a handful of firms fully authorized under MiCA, which came into force on July 1. Firms without approval must discontinue operations. Ripple had secured a preliminary license in June.

A large number of firms, including Binance, failed to qualify in time. Under MiCA rules, licensed firms in one EU country can extend services across the bloc.

Earlier in the year, Ripple also gained EMI approval from Luxembourg’s CSSF, enabling further expansion of its regulated payment services across Europe.
