Strategy (MSTR) has expanded its cash reserves to $3.75 billion after generating $544.5 million from the sale of common stock last week.
Executive Chairman Michael Saylor said the company’s current cash holdings are enough to cover approximately 2.1 years of preferred stock dividend payments.
The company raised the funds by selling more than 5.4 million shares of its common stock, according to an SEC filing released Monday.
Of the newly raised capital, Strategy allocated $25 million toward the repurchase of 288,930 shares of its high-yielding preferred stock, STRC.
The company left its bitcoin holdings unchanged, maintaining a total balance of 843,775 BTC.
MSTR shares and STRC both moved about 2.5% higher in pre-market trading as bitcoin recovered toward $65,000 over the weekend.
