U.S. CPI and Coinbase’s Deribit Move Among Key Crypto Events Ahead

Crypto markets are heading into a holiday-shortened week packed with key inflation figures, central-bank decisions, earnings reports and major developments across the digital-asset sector.

U.S. inflation will take center stage, with producer prices due Thursday and consumer prices scheduled for Friday. The reports will provide some of the last major inflation signals available to Federal Reserve officials before their September policy meeting.

Investors will also monitor rate decisions from the European Central Bank and the Bank of Russia. Meanwhile, Coinbase is expected to make a significant change to its derivatives offering by moving perpetual-futures trading on its app and website from Coinbase International Exchange to Deribit, the derivatives platform it acquired in August 2025.

The corporate calendar includes earnings from GameStop and bitcoin miner Canaan. Blockstream is also scheduled to release source code related to the security fixes introduced in Core Lightning 26.06.7.
