Hackers Hijack Saudi Law Conference’s X Account to Promote Fake Crypto
Cybercriminals took over the Saudi Law Conference’s official X account, impersonating Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to promote fraudulent cryptocurrency projects.
The hackers posted messages claiming the launch of an “Official Saudi Arabia Memecoin” and a “FALCON Memecoin,” complete with contract addresses to mislead potential investors. These posts have since been deleted.
Following the breach, the Saudi Law Conference issued a statement on LinkedIn, confirming that the account had been compromised and distancing itself from the scam.
“We want to clarify that any content shared during this period does not reflect our views or official stance,” the organization wrote. “We are actively working to regain control of our account and advise followers to ignore any suspicious posts.”
This latest crypto scam follows a similar controversy involving Argentine President Javier Milei, who recently faced backlash over a now-deleted post promoting the failed Libra memecoin.
