Blockchain Data Shows Trump Media Moving $342M in BTC to Crypto.com

Trump Media & Technology Group has reportedly moved 4,259 BTC worth approximately $434 million to Crypto.com, according to blockchain data from Arkham. The large transfer has sparked speculation about the company’s Bitcoin treasury strategy, particularly as it faces a potential $1 billion debt repayment obligation later this month.

Arkham identified the sending wallets as belonging to Trump Media and carrying the label “2028 Convertible Notes Collateral.” The Bitcoin was transferred to an address associated with Crypto.com in two transactions completed at 02:17 UTC.

The first transaction involved 2,140.03 BTC, followed by another transfer of 2,119.31 BTC to the same receiving address. The movements have attracted attention because of their connection to Bitcoin previously pledged against the company’s convertible notes.

Trump Media disclosed in its second-quarter financial report that it had 4,260.73 BTC pledged as collateral for convertible notes as of June 30. The relevant loan agreement restricts the withdrawal or distribution of these assets. Although Arkham’s wallet labels are consistent with the company’s disclosure, neither the blockchain data nor the available information explains why the funds were transferred.

The timing also coincides with an upcoming debt repayment option. According to a November 2 securities filing, holders of Trump Media’s convertible notes can request cash repayment on November 30. If all eligible investors exercise this right, the company could face a payment obligation of approximately $1 billion.

Trump Media cautioned that it could be required to sell Bitcoin or other digital assets if refinancing and alternative funding arrangements are insufficient to meet the repayment demands.

The latest transfer represents around 30% of the 14,139 BTC Trump Media reported holding, including pledged assets, on July 31. However, this figure comes from an earlier disclosure and does not confirm that the company’s Bitcoin reserves have declined.

CoinDesk requested comments from Trump Media about the latest movement and its current Bitcoin holdings but had not received a response at the time of publication.

Trump Media’s Bitcoin Transfer Does Not Confirm a Sell-Off

Large Bitcoin movements to cryptocurrency exchanges frequently raise concerns about potential selling pressure. However, an exchange deposit does not necessarily mean that an investor is preparing to liquidate its holdings.

The latest transaction has attracted considerable attention from blockchain analysts and monitoring accounts on X because of its size.

EyeOnChain raised the possibility that the movement could signal an upcoming Bitcoin sell-off but emphasized that transferring BTC to an exchange or custodian does not establish selling intentions. The transaction could instead involve custody adjustments or other treasury management activities.

Trump Media has previously moved substantial Bitcoin amounts to Crypto.com without selling the assets.

In May 2026, wallets associated with the company transferred approximately 2,650 BTC worth $205 million to the platform. A company spokesperson subsequently confirmed that the Bitcoin had been transferred but not sold, describing the move as part of its broader trading strategy.

A similar transaction took place in early August 2026, when another 2,628 BTC valued at approximately $165 million was sent to Crypto.com. Trump Media said the transfer was intended for custody management rather than liquidation.

Crypto.com has remained one of the company’s custody partners since it launched its Bitcoin treasury strategy.

Consequently, the latest $434 million transfer does not provide sufficient evidence that Trump Media is selling its Bitcoin holdings. However, the approaching November 30 repayment deadline has raised questions about whether the company could eventually use its cryptocurrency reserves to meet its financial obligations.
